We always encourage you to call our office, even afterhours, and report any suspicious activity so they can alert our security patrol. We are happy to do our best to help keep our community safe!
submitted by Ana H. - |Recommended: YesThe property has made good improvements but can do more. — Since new management has taken over, I have seen improvement which is really nice. One thing I was wondering if there will ever be an option for recycling because it gets tedious to take it somewhere else. Another thing is there is a lot of broken things in the apartments from before I even moved in a year ago and it hasn't been fixed. Also, there is an issue with people dumping garbage by my door and treating me and my roommates very disrespectfully and I have reported it but there are no cameras to prove anything, a security system would be nice. But other than that, the people in the office have been very helpful and kind.

submitted by Derek A. - |Recommended: YesThe property could use some help.... Mold mold mold — Wouldn't be so bad if the fixes and remodels weren't done sloppy. And the mold problem was addressed and managed. and windows were actually fixed or upgraded. Maybe one that can open for airflow and not just the bedrooms or backslider door that open.

Neighborhood seems safe. — They do not include any utilities in the rent, and the water, sewage, and garbage are based on the entire community rather than per unit although they do use formulas to determine how much each tenant pays . They have a no-smoking policy, but do not enforce it, so people will smoke on their balconies patios and the smoke gets into others' apartments. It sometimes takes a while to respond to maintenance requests. Overall, it's alright living here, and the neighborhood and community are relatively safe. Although if there are other availabilities that are cheaper, I would choose that option. Serrano just happened to be the only complex that had openings when my wife and I needed it.

New maintenance has done amazing — Our unit was newly remodeled, but without some flaws in the lack of quality awareness in installing drawers crooked . Shower paint can easily be peeled off with a scratch nail or sharp bathroom bottle or razor . 2 outlets un-serviceable, but the new maintenance that was hired seems very on top of things and considerate friendly in my encounter with one of them replacing the mailbox insert wrong one for our keys . Responded on the same day. Awaiting on a sink pipe leakage upon moving into the newly remodeled unit and hope they respond just as quickly as our first work order. Neighbors can be loud, but I feel this is expected for apartment life. Parking is on first-come, first-serve and low fee for reserved covered parking. Have only seen 2 community garbage disposals by the exit entrance which overflows. Heat system is amazing, does stay warm. Haven't been able to test out AC yet. Office staff was very hard to reach the 2 weeks prior to moving in via phone call. They do have an email message portal on their site, but haven't been able to reach them here. Move in got pushed ahead 2 days due to Maintenance not finishing countertops fridge. Everything was pretty clean except for the A C unit and living room window sliding door, but a lot better than some places. Had to get new lease re-written as they had extended ours 5 more months longer than we had initially requested which delayed the process, but they were very quick to fix this problem. Overall, great experience with them so far in comparison to other properties I have rented from. They are quick to respond and actually seem interested in proper customer service and professionalism when handling apartment concerns.

submitted by Christopher H. - |Recommended: YesThe Property Is cozy. — I don't mind living here. I just wish everybody would pick up there dogs shit and not leave it on the ground, so other people step in it.
response from property -Thank you for the feedback! We are working on holding residents more accountable on picking up after their dog, and plan on installing more dog stations around the property to make the grounds cleaner!

submitted by Kyle R. - |Recommended: NoPlease — Not trying to be rude but every day starting at exactly 7 am the noise from people that work for and hired by the property mangers is unbelievably loud and inconsiderate of the residents that reside here. Especially when it's coming from renovating the neighboring unit whilst my son who is 1 year old is trying to sleep I feel and as do other residents agree that 7 is a little outlandish and that 9am or 10am would be a considerate time to start with unbelievably loud construction noises. Cease and desist porfavor.
